The Story of Toma
Toma Tours is a new boutique tour operator based in Andalucia. Manni Coe launched the company during the depths of the Spanish recession with a very clear goal in mind: to show people the “Spain they never knew”.
Toma Tours are all about meaningful travel, showing guests the very heart and soul of their destination in a way that big-bus tour operators just cannot achieve. After just 18 months they now rank in the top ten out of over 400 activities in Andalucia on Tripadvisor
Manni Coe is the brains and vision behind what has driven Toma Tours to where it is today. Born in England, he made Andalucia his home in 2000 and now lives and breathes all things Spain.
He has explored most nooks and crannies of Andalucia and after 10 years of working for other tour operators wanted to devise smaller tours with a more relaxed pace.
His knowledge of the local culture, language and history will take you not only on a tour, but on a journey through time to appreciate precisely how Andalucía came to be. Manni is a lover of art and literature and is known for his intimate lectures on Al-Andalus, the great Spanish Artists, Lorca and the secrets of “Duende”
Manni is also a bit of a foodie, so as you would expect, Spanish gastronomy plays heavily in our tours! We couldn’t bring you into the real Andalucia without sharing the local delicacies and tasty tapas, so a stop at a local “Venta” or local restaurant is compulsory on all of our tours! Salud!
