Knowing Marcia Personally

Hard working, helpful and honest is how I have been described; I value honesty a lot. I’m also caring and considerate about my clients’ needs and wishes, and spend a considerable amount of time getting to understand each of my client’s motives for buying and selling. Focussed on what I do, I am very particular about being realistic and setting clear expectations with my clients.

Marcia’s Business Background

Originating from London, I was a former branch manager for Abbey National (now Santander bank) for 30 years. In addition to my banking background, and my knowledge of mortgage and financial markets, I have been buying and selling properties on a personal basis along the Costa del Sol for over 20 years. When I wanted to make the transition from my banking career in London to a new business in Spain, real estate called me – and so did many of my friends!

The Personal Touch

Over the years, I had helped a number of my friends with property investments in southern Spain. They turned to me as someone who has an insider’s knowledge of the financial markets, and, very importantly, a good grasp of the vagaries of the Spanish property market. When I decided to formalise the expert advice I shared with friends, I formed Location Moves. My goal has always been to provide that personal service that my friends benefited from, and to form a business that is based on the personal touch, and the kind of trust that I expect in a business relationship.


The Location Moves Client Experience

1. My buying and selling approach

First, I like all the paperwork to be in proper order. I check that every property has all the required documents as per Decree 218.
Sitting with each client, we fill out a customer profile, so that I know as much as possible about my clients’ needs.
Quality photography is key to sales success and I make sure that each property has a portfolio of appealing images that don’t rely on any photographic tricks.
Using an array of marketing methods including personal networking, social media channels, property portals and collaboration with other real estate agents, I can maximise my clients’ chance of a sale at the price we’ve agreed in the timescale required.
I prefer a ‘no pressure’ approach to working with my clients and you will never feel harassed into buying or selling.

2. The listing and viewing process

Offering a property valuation and listing service, I can also provide ‘property staging’ to ensure your home looks its best before viewings.
Showing your home can be stressful. I always accompany clients on viewings, and I provide prompt feedback to owners after a viewing.
Owners have come to expect my regular reports on sales progress with a property.

3. Property Finders Service for those short of time

Many people searching for their dream property on the Costa del Sol may not have the time to trawl through endless online listings. I am also aware that if you’re not familiar with the coast’s various areas, you have no idea if a place will suit you or not.

Due to demand, I have created a Property Finders Service, which provides a client with a shortlist of three properties for buyers to view during the hours of 10am to 2pm on one day.


I also help my clients find reliable tenants for their rental homes.
