After a 35 year absence Granada CF or the Rojiblancos as they are fondly known, have returned to La Primera División, the top flight of Spanish football. After gaining consecutive promotions in the last 2 years they will now be playing against some of the top teams in the world.
Following the excitement of last June’s play-off victory the aim for this year will have to be to retain their status in the first division, anything more than survival will be a bonus.
Granada play in the 20,000 seater Estadio de los Carmenes in the Zaidin neighbourhood.
Tickets can be purchased at the official Granada CF shop located on Calle Recogidas, 35.Tickets are usually made available from 5 days before a particular game. Tickets can also be bought at the ticket office on the ground floor of the stadium from 3 days until 2 hours before a game. Tickets start from €25
Players to look out for: Local favourite Dani Benítez, top scorer Alex Geijo and the enigmatic Nigerian, Ighalo.
