Littleoldladywho, apart from the cringe worthy punchline to a knock-knock joke is the ranting persona of an otherwise placid sixtysomething expat and serial creative in Spain who has been writing pithy little pieces on her Facebook page for a few years just for a small group of friends.

After several years of struggling with setbacks, she had finally relaxed about her place in the world and especially in Spain, when a life threatening illness and then Brexit ‘happened’ and put the whole adventure into another area of difficulty. Under her real name, she’s already published several crafts books, two of which are bestsellers in their field and currently writes business based articles for a specialist hobby magazine.

Her self-published autobiographical book,”Making It Small” is about being a miniaturist and self builder in England and then Spain. She describes it as a rags to rags memoir of how she got here and what happened next. As her political disquiet took over and her normal frugality became even more necessary, a new project started to take shape. That project was her book, released this month: The FrugAlist with a capital A for anarchy. Its not really an anarchist book at all and “Littleoldladywho” is at pains to point out that, although it has political overtones its just an account of the steps she takes to make ends meet along with some philosophical reasons for doing so which are particularly relevant post-Brexit and in the current environmental situation.

With a regard for her target audience it’s also released at the lower end of the price range on Kindle making it accessible to the most stringent or squeezed frugal pocket. Check the book on Amazon
