Hotel Kramer Review

“Simply an excellent experience”

I arrived very late and tired. The welcome from the night porter was an indication that this was going to be an excellent stay and it was ….. quite simply the whole stay was an excellent experience. Spotlessly clean, modern, all the electricals etc worked perfectly and the wifi was superb both in the room and the common areas. The staff on reception were professional and efficient and dealt very well with an incredibly demanding Italian guest who wanted a blow by blow account of every Valencia “must see.”

The coffee-bar is again modern, welcoming and run by very pleasant and efficient staff (image at the top). The coffee was as good as I have had this year and the cakes were tempting enough for me to close my brain to the calorie abuse.

Hotel Kramer1

The location is a little away from the hustle and bustle of the city but just a couple of stops on the underground, on a direct bus ride, a 5 minute taxi or a wonderful 30 minute stroll. I chose the hotel as it is 2/3 minutes’ walk from the main long distance bus station. It is also opposite a HUGE but, surprisingly charming shopping centre with an El Corte Ingles crammed with gadgets to keep me amused and my bank manager less so! Bioparc is just up the road and for football fans Valencia’s Mestalla and Levante’s ground are both in walking distance.

Sadly, it was just a short stay but I will most definitely return soon. Next time I may well use the direct transfer service to the airport that they have recently started and I will definitely use the discount card that all guests are offered. There are some great savings.

Other hotels please note it IS possible to offer great free wifi. The Kramer is definitely the best I have used in probably 20 hotels in the past three months. #respect

If you want to get around the city, the reception can hire you an excellently maintained city bike for a few euros. That’s a great way to get around this very (cycle) friendly city. ENJOY.
