City Centres

Recently most of my blogs have been about villages, small towns and the countryside. Today I focus on properties in the city centres. Now, I know, city centre life is not for everybody but for many it is the only lifestyle they will consider. Hopefully, I am presenting something for every taste!

Orihuela City

The Palace – For Sale 2,100,000 euro

PALACE MARQUÉS DE RAFAL was constructed in the early 1800s. The living construction size of this Palace is 2,026sqm with a ground plot of 1,014sqm. Also to the rear there is a beautiful secluded patio / garden of 209sqm…
This wonderful Palace fronts onto a large stone cobbled square where there are benches and places to relax and take in the sun. This is also the same plaza that Orihuelas Biblioteca Publica (Library) is situated. The Palace also backs onto the large Plaza Santa Lucia which has gardens, palm trees and seating areas. Most of the heritage of the city is in the so-called historic centre of the city which is where this Palace is located. The old part of the city was declared a Historic Artistic in 1969 and is surrounded by walkways, shops and boutiques. Orihuela City is one of the first cities to be declared this in Spain.

This Palace would either make an amazing home or an incredible hotel.

Huge Valencia City Flat Near Torres Quart
4 bedrooms | Apartment | City | Valencia City
Property: 170 m²
Price: €239,000 Euros.

A really large four bedroom apartment in Valencia near to the Torres Quart in the Carmen. It used to be two flats but has been joined together to make the most of the available space making it light airy and open.

There are four bedrooms, three bathrooms a huge open plan living area with kitchen and dining area and hall. It is on the third floor with lift and in an interesting building set back from the main drag of Guillem de Castro. There are two small balconies to the front.

An excellent flat for someone wanting space in the centre of Valencia at a reasonable price with scope to place your own mark on it as it is semi-modernised.

Valencia

Superb Modernised Apartment in Central Valencia
3 bedrooms | Apartment | City | Valencia City
Property: 65 m²
Price: €135,000 Euros.

A spectacular modernisation of this fourth floor apartment in the very centre of Valencia between Plaza de la Reina and Plaza del Ayuntamiento. One downside, it doesn’t have a lift. Plenty of upsides, in the centre of the city, totally modernised, pedestrianised street, beautifully presented, exposed beams and brickwork, parquet floors, shared terrace above and three bedrooms. Air conditioned and three balconies. It even has a storeroom on the terrace.

If you are looking for a bolthole in the centre of Valencia and you don’t mind the lack of a lift then this could suit you brilliantly. Excellent price and a great location.

Málaga

Not an individual property but a whole city!

One of the few true success stories in the past 10 years in Spain has been Málaga City. It was a city that, to be honest, was pretty much on its knees through the 90s and into the new millennium. It had been abandoned by central and regional government and most of investment into the area had gone to Seville, the capital of Andalucía or the big coastal towns of Marbella, Fuengirola, Torremolinos etc. It was looking “tired”

The story of the last ten years has been very different – the cultural scene as been revolutionised with the opening of numerous prestigious museums, the culinary offering has reached unknown heights, huge swathes of the city have been sympathetically rebuilt, the AVE link means Madrid is now a day trip for businessmen whilst the airport has grown in passenger numbers and quality of services and routes.

Needless to say, this has also lead to an influx in savvy investors. What has not exploded are property prices …yet. However, as Málaga’s popularity continues to soar, so will its property prices. There is no better time than the present to invest in Málaga!

Lisa specialises in relocations to Málaga City and says, “If you are considering investing in Málaga or moving over, simply contact me and I will make the whole process a lot easier and enjoyable.

¡Hasta pronto! Nos vemos en Málaga … Lisa Sadleir
