One hundred Spanish teachers in search of a speaker

One hundred English native speakers will receive room and full board in 4-star hotels in Galway and Athlone. In exchange, all they need to do is help Spanish teachers from the Balearic Islands to improve their English speaking skills.

September will bring a ray of Mediterranean light to the cities of Athlone and Galway thanks to the visit of one hundred primary and secondary Spanish school teachers from the Balearic Islands.
The teachers will need English speaking volunteers to help them improve their listening and speaking skills. In exchange for their help, the volunteers will receive room and full board at the beautiful Hodson Bay Hotel, the Sheraton Hotel (Athlone) and the Galway Bay Hotel (Galway).

The participants are a group of lucky teachers selected by the Spanish Ministry of Education to receive a scholarship to learn English in Ireland. They will share a week of experiences and fun living in the chosen venues with native English speaking volunteers.
The event is made possible thanks to a program designed by Pueblo Inglés, a Spanish company specializing in full immersion programs since the year 2004. “We are really delighted to offer English native speakers from all around the world the opportunity to enjoy such a worthwhile initiative in beautiful Athlone and Galway. We are sure this will be an experience of a lifetime both for Spanish teachers and for volunteers”, says María Goyanes, Director of Human Resources at Pueblo Inglés.

To fulfill the expectations – one English speaker for every Spanish speaker –  Pueblo Inglés is inviting people interested in volunteering to take part in this unique experience.
