Net closing in on Merseyside’s most wanted Kevin Parle, say police

Kevin Parle – wanted in connection with two murders

Merseyside’s most wanted man was today named on a 10-man hitlist of fugitives believed to be on the run in Spain.
Suspected killer Kevin Thomas Parle is among the final few individuals who remain outstanding in a massive European manhunt, codenamed Operation Captura.

Parle is wanted for questioning over the murders of Walton mum Lucy Hargreaves and Toxteth teenager Liam Kelly.
The 6ft 6ins, 34-year-old, who also goes by the name Joseph Parle or the nickname ‘Hemp’, was rumoured to be living on the Costa Blanca. He fled the country soon after Lucy Hargreaves was shot dead in her Walton home in August 2005.

The 22-year-old was under a duvet on the sofa in her front room in Lambourne Road when three men burst in, fired a shotgun at her and then torched the house. She was not the target and it is thought the intended victim was her boyfriend.

Liam Kelly was 16 when he was gunned down in a Toxteth street in June 2004. After getting a number of phone calls, Liam went to a meeting point only to be met by Anthony Campbell, with whom he had been arguing over a £200 debt.
A crown court trial in 2007 heard Campbell turned up with Parle, who the court was told was believed to have fired the fatal shot. Campbell was jailed for life over the teenager’s murder but Parle remains at large.

According to the Policia Naciónal, Parle is believed to be in the Alicante area. If he is seen do not disturb but inform the Spanish Police immediately (Dial 112)

Update 22nd March 2015

Police Detain One Of The Most Wanted British Criminals In Spain.

“A few days ago we published a list of the most wanted Brits. We warned you that they are used to hiding in other countries where there are big English communities. Today we are glad to inform you that one of the most wanted Brits, Shane Wallford, has been detained in the Canary Islands by the Spanish police.”
——————————————————————————
The Police said that Shane Wallford (38) was tracked down at about 11.30 am on Saturday 21st March at Fuerteventura airport.

The Coventry resident, ex-military and a boxer, was wanted since August 2013, when he violated the conditions of his parole and disappeared. Wallford was sentenced to four and a half years in prison in July 2010 for killing a firefighter, a father of two children, with a punch in a bar in Coventry. He had mistaken the man for someone else with whom he had had a confrontation earlier. The victim of the attack, who was celebrating his birthday, fell backwards and hit his head on the floor, initially losing consciousness. The following day, he died.

The detention of Wallford is the first to have come about in the ninth “Operation Captura”, intended to locate and arrest British fugitives hiding in Spain. Since the campaign was initiated in the UK in 2006 by the National Crime Agency and Crimestoppers, 66 out of the 75 wanted fugitives have been arrested.

Do not forget their faces, and call 062 if you recognize any of them.
