Inchy’s Bar

No, I would not normally recommend a bar – there are literally thousands on the coast but Inchy’s Bar is a “must” if you are a genuine football fan.
Inchy’s Bar is situated on the famous Avenida Bonanza Strip in Benalmadena-Costa on the Costa Del Sol in Southern Spain. It was opened in 1999 by ex-professional footballer Steve Phillips whose nickname from his playing days gives the bar it’s name.
Steve has a collection of over 400 football shirts on display in the bar, many of them signed personally, as well as lots of other sporting memorabilia. With continuous coverage of all major sporting events Inchy’s can quite accurately claim to be the top sports bar in town.
If you would like to go to watch local football club Málaga play then they also run a coach to every home game and will even provide tickets to the match.
Steve was born just around the corner from White Hart Lane and was chased by a host of clubs, including Spurs and Arsenal, as a schoolboy. He eventually signed for Birmingham City where he made thirty-odd first team appearances in the old Division One alongside such illustrious names as Trevor Francis and Bob Latchford before moving on to Northampton Town in 1976 and then played for a succession of clubs including Southend, Torquay, Peterborough, Chesterfield and Exeter City before finally hanging up his boots in 1988. In his career Steve played 687 League and Cup games and scored 254 goals.
I am sure you will enjoy looking at the “museum” of shirts and other memorabilia as well as meeting some of the locals who add much to the character of the bar. Full details of the bar on their excellent site
