The Hipódromo Costa del Sol, Mijas is situated just outside the Fuengirola boundary in La Cala, Mijas and is a popular day-out for tourists and locals alike. The calendar for summer 2009 has been announced and includes Saturdays 4,11,18,25 and Friday 31 July and 7th August. The first race is at 9pm.

The course has had quite a chequered history but the vast majority of punters are not interested in this. They attend to enjoy fine racing on an excellent track. As the racing is (usually) in the sun, it’s quite a contrast to a wet February of racing at Haydock, Southwell or Lingfield Park!
