Robert Capa, (American, 1913-1954), Title: Francois Gilot and Picasso with his nephew Javier Vilato, Golfe-Juan, France Medium : Silver Gelatin print, circa 1948. Available from Images Fine Art Dealers

The Museo Picasso Málaga was created in response to Pablo Ruiz Picasso’s desire for his work to be exhibited in the city where he was born in 1881.

It was created as a result of the combined efforts of Christine and Bernard Ruiz-Picasso, the artist’s daughter-in-law and grandson, whose donations are the body of the art collection and the Junta de Andalucía, who also took part in the creation of the museum arranging an ambitious museistic project devoted to the artist whose styles and techniques changed the course of modern art.

The Palacio de Buenavista, house of the Museo Picasso Malaga and National Monument since 1939, was erected on the ruins of a Nazari Palace by Don Diego de Cazalla. The building is a magnificent example of 16th-century Andalusian architecture with its characteristic mixture of Renaissance and Mudéjar elements. The rehabilitation and expansion of the museum complex was designed by Richard Gluckman of Gluckman Mayner Architects. The American Institute of Architects awarded the MPM the Institute Honor for Architecture in January 2006.

The website is available in English and has full details of current, past and future exhibitions.

For many years Images have dealt in Fine Works of Art. Based in North West London we work from home as Private Dealers and have a large stock of Original works by some of the Great Masters of the 20th Century. Three of these are Spanish Artists and their pieces can be seen on our websites.

Generally we deal in Original Prints, Drawings, Ceramics and Photographs. The latter are usually by famous photographers who have taken shots of the artists whose works we deal in.

Because we work from home and have low overheads we keep prices down and can offer most attractive prices to all our client base. Prices start at just a few hundred pounds up to many thousands for the better pieces. You are welcome to pop by and see us in Golders Green – a cup of tea and a smile awaits you. We are a husband and wife team, no-nonsense down to earth people , unlike many of the “Stuffy” Art Dealers to be found in central town.

We are especially strong on the following:

Pablo Picasso (1881 – 1973)
