The Butterfly Park in Benalmádena is one of the “must sees” on the Costa del Sol and definitely worth a few hours of anyone’s time. There are over 1,000 butterflies from all over the world and it is amazing to walk through the park and literally have them fly around you.

The park is situated just off the A7 motorway (exit 27) and is also served by local buses. It is next to the Estupa Tibetana (the Buddhist Temple).There is an excellent website but sadly, at the time of writing, it is only in Spanish. Nevertheless, there are some excellent photos to enjoy.
