Calendar

Christmas is just around the corner and for those looking for that present that is both useful and thoughtful, we have one for you. It’s the 2012 edition of Andy Ormiston’s Calendar which next year has a slightly different design and is based upon Blue and Green.

The Torrevieja solidarity 2012 calendar is now available from various charity shops and other charitable organisation and fund raising groups, such as TABBS and Rascals. Once again this colourful calendar provides useful information about national and regional holidays and fiestas, cultural events, places to visit and useful telephone numbers as well as U.K. and Irish Bank Holidays. The 2012 calendar theme is “A blue and green perspective” of Torrevieja with photos of places that are unknown to many people or hidden in plane sight, which is often the case until someone takes the time to point out what you might be missing.

Thanks to the patronage of Aroca Seiquer Lawyers, and Brithol Insurance Agency, the calendar has been made available to several charities and organisations to raise funds for their projects. Principally they will be available from the shops of AGE CONCERN, HELP, AEEC CONTRA CANCER, and AFA ALZHEIMERS ASSOCATION, as well as from groups RASCALS, TAABS and La Mata Natural Park volunteers. The 2011 calendar raised over 8,000 euros for diverse needy causes and it’s hoped that this year even more will be raised.

The Calendar does not actually have a sale price but a donation of at least €5.00 is requested. They make great gifts, are local to Torrevieja, have places to write your notes and are a valuable source for knowing when all the Red Days fall, such as All Saints Day on November 1st, and many other holidays and fiestas around the region. A super gift for friends and family and something that you’ll want for yourself too but buy yours early as last year, by mid-December they were all sold out.
