Detox and Weight Loss

The detox and weight loss at La Crisalida is for you if you are looking to boost your health and energy levels, feel good about yourself and lose weight.
As part of your detox and weight loss retreat, you will focus on tasty, fresh, healthy Mediterranean food and/or juices. At the same time you can focus on activities designed to help you burn calories and eliminate toxins from the body. All activities are optional and include morning walks, yoga and rebounding (bouncing on mini trampolines) and much more.

at the retreat is suitable for those ranging from beginner to intermediate level and retreats include at least 1.5 hour yoga session per day and a minimum of 10 yoga sessions in a week,. The core yoga offering at La Crisalida is mindful hatha yoga, and this is supplemented with vinyasa, kundalini and viniyoga during the week.

Where possible, yoga sessions are set outdoors on the roof terrace with views of the surrounding area and mountains.

Healthy Food

The starting point for rejuvenation of the body and mind is through the foods that we consume.  Therefore La Crisalida offer an abundance of fresh fruit, vegetables and whole foods at La Crisalida Retreats. The food at La Crisalida is included in the price of your retreat.
The food at La Crisalida supports our body to cleanse and allow you move towards our ideal weight, rather than adopting a diet where you may feel hungry and unsatisfied. You will also get an abundance of all the essential nutrients required.  The side affect of all this for nearly everyone is weight loss!

The retreat serves tasty, fresh, wholesome nutritious food, without dairy, meat, sugars or processed food.
They use seasonal products where possible, grown or sourced locally, so the menu is typically Mediterranean.  All food is served fresh, prepared and cooked on the premises, with care and loving attention.
Sometimes occasional treats are offered – of the healthy variety of course! In the afternoon you are provided with a fresh juice to wake you up after your siesta. Lunch is made up of various tasty, colourful, fresh and nutritious dishes.

Jackets and chili

The evening meal is a sociable occasion, where guests gather to enjoy the food and company of fellow guests. Some of the evening meals that are served include paella, lasagne, chow mein, dhal and sausages (all vegan style).
You are welcome to ask for fruit or vegetables from the kitchen at any time.  They can cater for coeliac and others with special diets (gluten-free, low sugar, nut-free, food intolerances etc).

Juicing

Drinking fresh fruit and vegetable juices is one of the most popular parts of the La Crisalida program. Most people report the juices we prepare to be refreshingly tasty and enjoyable.

It often amazes guests how their juices can leave them feeling full for hours.
