Playa Flamenca
Playa Flamenca is a quiet beach-side residential urbanization, located 45 minutes from Alicante airport, 30 minutes drive from Murcia San Javier airport and 15 minutes drive from the bustling town of Torrevieja. It is part of the self-styled Orihuela Costa which is itself part of the municipality of Orihuela.

The Costa Blanca is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Europe. Much of the coastline is still wild and rugged, with many sandy beaches offering peace and tranquility. There are also plenty of busy and exciting areas, sympathetically developed, for those looking for a bit more action.

Historical buildings and museums can also be visited in the nearby cities of Murcia and Cartagena.
For the lovers of ecological and environmental tourism, visit the lakes of La Mata and Torrevieja, where you can enjoy a mud bath. These baths are renowned internationally for their curative properties particularly for rheumatic, dermatological, heart and respiratory complaints.
Torrevieja, a 10 minute drive away, boasts a marina, waterfront market, street entertainment, shops, numerous cafes, bistros, restaurants, bars, and a beautiful church square. The superb palm-lined promenade and harbour boardwalk are the ideal place to go for that evening stroll.

Eating Out
Across the main road there are several international dining opportunities within the shopping centre and further afield, in the nearby towns, there are many tapas bars and restaurants where you can try the local cuisine.
Climate
The Costa Blanca enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate, with cool sea breezes in summer and protection by surrounding mountains against the cold north winds in winter. The area averages nearly 3,000 hours of sunshine each year and the average temperature easily exceeds 20 degrees.
In 1986 the World Health Organisation recommended the climate of the area as one of the most equitable in the world – neither too hot in the summer nor too cold in the winter. On average it can boast 325 sunny days each year making it an ideal all year round destination
