Just sixty kilometres from the capital Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the airport offers more than a hundred connections worldwide.

But don’t limit yourself to paying for large hotels if you are on a tighter budget or in a larger group. Getting from the airport

The airport has a really good transport network, such as taxis, car rentals and public bus, all available directly from the terminals.

From the airport by Bus

Bus line number 415 connects Tenerife Sur airport with some urban centres in the south, including the beautiful resorts within Golf del Sur.
Directly from the airport on the arrivals floor, bus lines 111, 343 and 450 connect the airport to various big cities on the island. The company that operates these routes are Transportes Urbanos de Tenerife (Titsa – https://www.titsa.com/index.php/en/).
If you need to get from the north airport all the way to the South airport, then Line 343 gets you there for as little as €9.70 in only 50 minutes.
Further lines include Line 110 which goes from Tenerife South Airport and the capital, Santa Cruz, as well as to the larger beaches on the island.

From the airport by Taxi

If you have children with you or much luggage, you will probably want to avoid walking from the bus stop to your hotel. Therefore, for a more direct trip, you may prefer to choose a taxi. For the journey from the airport to Santa Cruz, you can expect to pay around €66. Getting from to Playa de las Américas costs approximately €20, to Granadilla and Los Cristianos is usually just €19.

Hiring a car at the airport

If you plan to arrange car hire at the airport, you will benefit from a number of competitive offers available from various companies. However, research online for the lowest offers first and avoid paying too much at the Car hire desks. Car rental companies include Goldcar, interrent, budget car hire and the popular Avis. Make sure that you view https://www.tenerifeairport.guide/car-hire/ to compare all current offers in an instant. Be sure to read each car hire company’s fuel policy in detail, including Full to empty, and Full to Full, as some offer very different terms.

When to fly to Tenerife South

Bear in mind that during winter months, hotel prices are sometimes at a peak in Tenerife South, whereas flights to Tenerife are cheaper and more abundant. November and September can be the nicest months to visit with none-stop sunshine during the day and evenings are often very pleasant. These months seem to avoid the seasonal high charges as is true in many airports in Spain
