Gran Canaria Airport

Gran Canaria Airport, located on the coast of the island from which it takes its name, is the gateway for the millions of tourists who visit the island every year. It currently serves over 80 destinations – approximately 70 within Europe and the rest are West African.

The airport is situated 25 kilometres from one of the main tourist centres of the Canary Islands – the southern area of Gran Canaria – and 18 kilometres from the island’s capital and that of the province of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

Departures

Zone A Departures of flights to European Union countries.

Zone B Departures of international flights to non-European countries.

Zone C Departures of inter-island flights.

Departures take place from the first floor. Once on this floor, passengers should proceed to the check-in desk of the airline company with which they are travelling. There they will be given a boarding card and their luggage will be checked in.

Gran Canaria Airport has 96 check-in desks. All the destinations are indicated on the information screens at the terminal entrance.

The boarding card, indicates the zone and the gate number via which passengers are to board. Every boarding area of the airport is identified with a letter and a colour.

The airport has 38 boarding gates, organised into three zones: A (European Union flights) B (non-EU international flights) and C (island or regional flights). In these zones there are 27, 6 and 8 gates respectively. Zones B and C share 3 boarding gates.

Timetable

To the Airport:
First departure: 5:45.
Last departures: 21:40 and 22:40.
From 6:00 to 20:00: two buses an hour (6:00, 6:45, 7:00, 7:45, etc).
To Las Palmas de Gran Canaria:
Last departures: 21:15, 22:15 and 23:15.
6:00 to 20:15: two buses an hour (6:15, 6:50, 7:15, 7:50, etc).

There are regular services to Maspalomas, Playa del Cura, Telde and many other destinations
