The Spanish Government has introduced new measures requiring airlines to provide, (before flight departure) the Passport or National ID data of all passengers onboard flights departing from the UK and Republic of Ireland. This information is known as 'advance passenger information' ('API' or 'APIS' data)
When do the requirements come into force?
For all passengers traveling to Spain (including the Canaries and Balearic Islands) from the UK or Republic of Ireland from the 19th September 2007 onwards
Can I supply this information to you online?
Yes, passengers travelling from the UK or the Republic of Ireland to Spain (including the Canary and Balearic Islands) can provide the required passenger information either after completing their flight booking online or via a weblink on our homepage or via the change/review booking function. A weblink will also be included in the 'Before You Fly' email which is sent to all passengers who provided us with an email address at the time of booking. At airport check-in - we do, however, recommend that passengers provide this information using one of the online methods to avoid check-in delays.
I am not a UK/Irish/Spanish passport holder. Does this requirement apply to me? Yes. This requirement applies to all passengers departing from the UK and Ireland and travelling to Spain, regardless of nationality
Can I expect disruption at airports? There may be some disruption at airports. If you are travelling to Spain, from the 19 September 2007, you are advised to allow extra time to check in for your flight.
What information will be sent?
Passport/National ID information, including:

What if I refuse you permission to release my data to the authorities?
If you do not provide us with the required passenger information in you will not be accepted for travel at Check-In.
What will this information be used for?
The data may be given to Border Control authorities, who have a legal right to receive the data. They may share it with other enforcement bodies for the purposes of preventing and combatting terrorism and other serious crime.
